Our Wonderful Staff

The spirit of love generated by our staff is a large part of the serenity and grace that you feel at Pacific Living Centers.  Each member of our exceptional team is professionally trained to meet the highest standards required in the care of those with Alzheimer's and other dementias. 

Whether it is someone who has the early stages of dementia or is approaching end of life, we are committed to the care and well-being of each resident. Each experienced, carefully selected caregiver gets to know all the residents individually, and as there are only 15 residents in our home, this allows a high staff-to-resident ratio.

Our caregivers are alert and awake at all hours providing 24/7 care which permits us to be able to meet the specific needs of each resident more effectively. Our team works very hard every day to improve and enhance each resident's quality of life. You can relax knowing that your loved one is receiving the very best care from highly trained caregivers who love what they do!

Michele Nixon, Administrator 

Michele Nixon, CNA has extensive experience working with persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementia as well as with their families and staff.  She has had 10 years as a Social Services Administrator with an Assisted Living Facility. Michele also has 10 years experience working with Senior Disabilities Service and Foster Care Homes.

Pacific Living Centers, Inc. welcomed Michele to the Hawthorne House of Salem as our Administrator in November of 2003. In January 2009 we completed our sister facility in Salem, Harmony House of Salem. Michele is now the Administrator at our new facility.

Michele has completed the Administrator’s Course in 1998 by the Oregon Health Care Association of “Practicing the Values in Community Based Care”.  She completed the course for “The Best Friends Approach” in June of 2006 and is now certified as a Master Trainer. Michele continues with her on-going education as required in all areas of her field.
